No, this confession is one I'm pretty embarrassed about. But I'm thinking if I come clean on this one, I'll find that somewhere out in the blogsphere there are some fellow sympaticos. So here goes: I've never read any of the Harry Potter books in their entirety. In fact, I started reading the very first one way back (pre-movie premiere) but could never get "into it". It's just that there were so many nouns in it that weren't really words.

So I got lost trying to make sense of it all. And then I got frustrated. And then I stopped reading. Don't get me wrong. I really enjoy watching the Harry Potter movies (but don't ask me to name them in sequential order). My son even resembles the older Harry. My son's dog is named Potter.
So why do I bring this up now? Well, I just saw this trailer for the final movie. Holy Wizardry, Batman er, Harry!! It's a two-parter. First part comes out in November. And this is one of the most exciting movie trailers I've ever watched. So even though both my adult kids have told me that I really need to give them a try, it's only now that I'm feeling the strong desire to read the books.
So, what do you think? Can I get thru the entire series before the premiere of the final movie??

Oh, sure you can! I saw the preview yesterday, and I thought the same thing!!! I quit in the middle of the 4th book, but I might just watch all the movies, instead, since I have no time to read :(
YES YOU CAN!!! (Or, at least, you can try!) I'm still trying to finish Eat Pray Love before the movie, but at least I only have 1/2 a book to read, and not ... ummm ... how many Harry Potter books are there? 100??
Good Luck!
Ok, since I am not a reader, I say forget the book and wait for the movies! But since I know YOU are a reader, then give it your best shot and good luck!!!
do it! i can tutor you in HP vocab if needed, :)
But if you feel like you can't get through it, its understandable....they are long and i need time to digest them. but it's worth starting!
